Internet Radio Station For Cats Completes Major Upgrade

Press Release Body = For the felines out there, this news is just purrfect. Cat Galaxy, the internet radio station for cats has completed a changeover to its new shoutcast provider and now has added 500 listening slots which will allow many more listeners to enjoy the station.
\"This is a major upgrade for our station and a much needed one. Now even more cats (and their humans) will be able to enjoy the shows and music we play,\" said Nohl Rosen of Cat Galaxy.
The station just celebrated their 5th year of broadcasting and decided to move to a shoutcasting provider that could better handle the station\'s needs and still be cost effective. ShoutcastPro was then chosen and a few days later, Cat Galaxy was up and running on the new provider.
\"The move was relatively painless and we feel this will be very good for our station given its popularity. Adding more listening slots allows us to be competitive while at the same time allowing us to handle a much larger audience,\" Rosen added.
Cat Galaxy broadcasts live 24/7 to cats worldwide in 128k CD quality stereo. Their mix of music for cats to enjoy includes rock, smooth jazz, funk, swing, alternative, alternative rock, pop, 80\'s, 90\'s, and a few other genres. All of them are mixed into what the station calls the Feline Freeform format as it is the cats at the station that pick the music.
\"This is a station for cats by cats. The feline management really knows what they like and each one of them has different tastes which has been important in the success of this station,\" Rosen said.
The station also has 6 live shows during the week which includes a morning show for cats called Morning Meows and nightly shows such as Meow Mixing Monday, Tuesday Night Cat Club, Wednesday Night Cat Attack, Thursday Night Purr Party, and the Friday Night Feline Frenzy.
